Get credits to pay for your won auctions!
We believe in giving back to our customers, so when you place bids on auctions and do not win, don't fret. You haven't lost your bids! Whenever you win an auction, you can pay the final auction price of that won auction with the bids that were placed on other auctions! If you have enough placed bids to cover the final auction price, you could end up paying nothing for your won auction. Bid credits do not include bids that were free bids.
Can´t stay at your computer? No problem! You can set up your "BidBuddy" to place bids for you.
How does the BidBuddy work?
We think that watching the auction as your bids come in is part of the fun, but we also know that sometimes you need to drag yourself away from your computer. That´s when the BidBuddy comes in handy. Just tell the BidBuddy the minimum and maximum price at which you want him to place bids, as well as the number of bids you´re prepared to place and it´ll do the rest.
The exception to this is on the Fixed Price Auctions. On these auctions, you will only put in the number of bids you would like to use in the BidBuddy.
How does the BidBuddy decide when exactly to place my Bids?
Our BidBuddys are configured to save your bids, while providing you the best opportunity to win the auctions. The BidBuddy waits until the counter is in the final 1 to 10 seconds of the auction and then places your bids.
If there is only one BidBuddy bidding on an auction, the bids from that BidBuddy will be placed within the final 1 to 10 seconds of the auction - the countdown then resets, as it would for a normal bid, allowing other bidders to bid again.
If there are two or more BidBuddy bidding against each other, all the consecutive bids are placed immediately, and the price and countdown increase with each bid placed. (We do this so that bidders can easily see the auctions that will end soon unless another bid is placed)
We have a few simple rules about how your BidBuddy can be used. Please remember these when setting your BidBuddy to bid for you:
1. You can only use the BidBuddy for placing at least two bids. To place just a single bid, just click the bid button.
2. Your maximum price has to be at least one U.S. dollar (US$1.00) higher than the current end price.
3. Once the bidding has reached the minimum price at which you instructed your BidBuddy to start bidding, you can no longer cancel your bids.
Why did the auction end before my maximum price was reached?
All BidBuddys have a spending limit that is set by you which is the Bids value. This is so you can control your own bidding. If this happens, it means that your BidBuddy couldn´t place anymore bids even though the current price is below your "Bid To" value. To prevent this from happening, try increasing the maximum number of bids that the BidBuddy can place.
What happens to the BidBuddy bids that didn´t get used?
Bids that the BidBuddy didn´t use are credited back to your Lady Luck Electronics account. This might happen when you win an auction. It can also happen if an auction ends before your minimum price is reached, or if your maximum price is reached before all your bids are used up.
How do I cancel a BidBuddy?
You can cancel him by clicking the cancel button, providing the auction hasn´t reached your BidBuddy´s "Bid From" price.
How do I edit a BidBuddy?
You can edit him by clicking the edit button located in you’re My Account and clicking on My Bid Buddies.
Can you give me some advice about how to bid?
We have very many winners; however, there´s no "sure-fire" way of winning, but here are a few tips to help you get started. We also want to help the novice bidders, so we will would like to alert them to a few traps that can happen.
Place your bid late
Monitor the countdown timer closely. Try to jump in and bid in the last few seconds of the auction. If the timer has reached the last few seconds, you know that it will end unless another bid is placed.
Start with the cheapest products
Our most expensive items tend to be the most competitive auctions because you can win them at an incredible savings. Our less expensive products tend to have fewer bidders, meaning you´re much more likely to win. Start low and build up.
Keep an eye on what other bidders are doing
You can see the details of the last ten bids placed by bidders. Watch for who´s bidding and when they´re bidding. Maybe you can figure out the right time to jump in with your bids.
Keep an eye on the end price
Keep track of the end price of the auction. People tend to set the Bid To value of their BidBuddy to end at round number prices, so you might be able to snap up a bargain by simply clicking on the "Bid" button just when a BidBuddy has finished.
Use the BidBuddy to your advantage
The BidBuddy is a very powerful tool! If you are watching what other bidders are doing and if you get the timing right, you can scare off other bidders by using your BidBuddy. Bidders don´t like to see their bids matched over and over again by your BidBuddy. You could possibly persuade them to give up and try again next time.
Count the number of bidders
Look to see how many different bidders have recently bid on an auction. If there are fewer bidders interested in the item, you´re more likely to win.
Bid at the right time of day
The number of bidders varies throughout the day. While others are busy with their daily routines, you can usually pick up some great bargains.
Turn other bidder´s BidBuddys against them
Some people have a "set and forget" technique with the BidBuddy. This technique makes it easy to jump in and win with a quick single bid.
Can I set a BidBuddy on a paused or Future auction?
No. Our auctions are set up to only accepts bids when the timer starts to count down, and the button changes from Soon to Bid. This method makes it fair for all of our customers.
How do I buy bids?
You can buy bids using either your credit or debit card via PayPal. They accept all credit and debit cards, and bank accounts.

Where can I see how many bids I´ve placed on an auction?

You can also see all of your BidBuddy bids that you have placed on all auctions, by going to My Account and then click on My Bid Buddies. The bids you see are the bids that you have planned to bid, not the bids that have already been bid on an auction.
Here you can see all of the details of your Bid Buddies, and you can edit or delete a BidBuddy.
Where can I see how much I have spent on bids in an auction?
You can always see how much you have spent in a single auction by looking in the "Savings" field below the Bid button on the auction detail page. You can also go to your Account Dashboard and click My Bids.
Where can I see who´s bidding on an auction?
You can always see who is bidding on an auction by looking under the Bidding History on each auction´s detail page. There you can see a list of the most recent bidders on that auction and the type of bid they have placed.
I have placed a bid but I am not the highest bidder. Why?
When you place a bid, it will always be the highest bid; however, it could be out-bid very quickly. This can happen if there are many bidders or if there is also another bidder using the BidBuddy on the auction. If bids have been placed within a few seconds of each other and sometimes even within the same second, you might not see it actually placed as the highest bid.
Some more tips to help you make your bidding more effective:
Watch the Bidding History to see how many bidders are actually bidding on the auction, and to see the type of bid(s) they are placing. If there are only single bids, try placing a BidBuddy on that auction. A BidBuddy not only saves you bids, but it can also help you to become the highest bidder.
Search for a similar auction with fewer bidders. You can often find an auction with fewer users for a similar product that is running at the same time. You could pick up a bargain without needing to place as many bids."
Can I bid on a future auction?
No. Future auctions are for our customers to be able to see which products are coming up for auction in the near future.
Future auctions can be bid on when the countdown timer begins, and the button changes from Soon to Bid.
